If an attack were to kill you but the overkill damage amounts to less than a certain percentage of your maximum ✨ HP|health, you will first heal yourself for that same percentage of hit points and only afterwards will the damage be applied. In addition, all your ✨ spell ✨ cooldowns are reduced by 60 seconds. Attacks that deal ✨ Agony Damage|agony damage do not trigger this perk. It is technically not a spell, is casted automatically when the effect triggers, and costs no mana.
The cooldown of this perk is only reduced while the character has this perk available and has a ✨ Logout Block|battle sign. The cooldown timer will stop going down immediately when the battle sign is lost, either because one minute passed since it was triggered or because the character has entered a ✨ Protection Zone. The current cooldown can be checked by adding Gift of Life to an ✨ Action Bars|action button (right click and select "Assign Passive Ability").
