Every character can learn this very basic spell for free. By using it the caster will activate the inherent magic energy of his immediate surrounding to provide him with decent illumination for about ten minutes. While it is hardly brighter than your average torch, it is always good to have this spell in the book in case you are stuck in a deep dungeon and run out of non-magical light sources.

This spell is freely given to players on the ✨ Island of Destiny. However, it has no practical value since the ✨ Updates/7.8|Summer Update 2006 permits players to adjust ambient light, though some choose to still use light sources as they where intended to be. This spell is best replaced by ✨ Great Light once a character reaches ✨ level 13. It is now used for ✨ Magic Level ✨ Training. Since ✨ Updates/9.8|Winter Update 2012 this spell became free.
